Frequently asked questions.

  1. What are your check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is at 4:00 PM, check-out is by 10:00 AM—we like to give our cleaning team plenty of time to prep the house so your stay feels seamless.

  2. How far is Ludlow Hill House from Okemo Mountain?
We’re just 9 minutes from the base lodge—total ski-in/ski-out convenience if you’re heading to the Clocktower area.

  3. Is Ludlow Hill House pet-friendly?
While we love pets, we keep the property allergy-friendly and don’t allow animals. (Tell me if you want an alternative listing that does.)

  4. What amenities are included?
We provide linens, towels, high-speed Wi-Fi, a fully stocked kitchen, and cozy accents like firewood and hot cocoa to warm you right up.

  5. When should I buy my lift tickets?
Okemo often caps day-pass sales on busy weekends—grab them online as early as 9–14 days in advance (depending on your location), or risk disappointment.

  6. What parking is available in winter?
We offer dedicated off-street parking for up to X vehicles—please keep spots clear for snow removal and don’t leave cars post check-out.

  7. Is smoking allowed?
The property is entirely smoke-free—no exceptions for cigarettes, e-cigarettes, or cannabis—to keep the air fresh for everyone.

  8. Should I get trip insurance?
We highly recommend it—weather, travel delays, or unexpected changes happen. It’s usually available for 7–9% of your total booking price (depending on provider).

  9. Where should I stay—on mountain or in Ludlow?
Staying on the slope (like near Clocktower) puts you steps from lessons and green runs. Staying in town (like our place) gives you charm, dining variety, and often better value—plus a quiet, cozy retreat after the lifts close.

  10. How close is Ludlow Hill House to Okemo Mountain?
Ludlow Hill House is just 9 minutes from Okemo’s base lodge—close enough that you can be on the lifts faster than it takes to brew a second cup of coffee. You’ll avoid resort parking chaos and still be back in time for après. For planning your ski day, check out our Guide to Skiing Okemo.

  11. Where can I rent ski gear in Ludlow?
Ludlow has several excellent ski shops just minutes from the house. The Boot Pro Ski Shop is a local favorite for high-performance rentals, while Totem Pole Ski Shop offers friendly service and great value for families. If you want to lock in gear ahead of time, see our Ludlow Ski Gear Rental Guide for tips and links.

  12. What are the best après-ski spots near Okemo?
From pints at Killarney’s Irish Pub to wine and small plates at Stemwinder, Ludlow’s après scene is warm, local, and delicious. We put together our favorite picks in Après-Ski, Ludlow Style, including family-friendly breweries and refined taverns.

  13. Does Ludlow Hill House have a fireplace/hot tub/winter parking?
Yes, yes, and yes—well, two out of three. Ludlow Hill House has a wood-burning fireplace perfect for post-ski cocoa nights and dedicated winter parking for up to X cars. While we don’t have a hot tub (yet), we keep the place stocked with cozy throws, extra blankets, and all the cabin-core vibes.

  14. Is Ludlow good for families in winter?
Absolutely. Okemo’s ski school, gentle beginner terrain, and town-center ice skating rink make it one of Vermont’s most family-friendly ski destinations. Plus, our house layout makes it easy to spread out between runs, meals, and bedtime. See our Family Winter Guide to Ludlow for activities beyond the slopes.
